Automotive Ethernet Congress 2023

March 22 - 23, 2023 l Munich, Germany

One of the biggest challenges facing the automotive industry today is the strategic shift away from its traditional focus on hardware solutions toward a new software-centric approach: the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV). The digitization of the automobile requires a radical rethink of both development processes and the entire vehicle’s architecture. At the heart of that architecture is the In-Vehicle Network (IVN) and, consequently, it will be directly affected by these changes.

In the past single criteria such as data rates, costs or the engineer's familiarity with the technology were the main factors driving the selection of a particular network technology, today new questions need to be asked: Does the selected transmission technology support the transformation of the E/E architecture from hardware-based to software-centric? Does it offer the necessary flexibility and self-learning capability to be able to continuously implement new functions? Automotive Ethernet, which supports service-oriented architectures, embodies all these features.

The ninth Automotive Ethernet Congress to be held on March 22 - 23, 2023 at the Hilton Munich Airport will look to address these and other issues. Here, current, and future technology and product developments will be the focus of the conference program, exhibition, and associated workshops. The Congress will offer you the opportunity to share and discuss new ideas around the implementation and use of Ethernet in the vehicle and in your own projects.

The Automotive Ethernet Congress 2023 will provide technical papers, examples from real-life practice, workshops, and reports of experience. Send us your suggestions on topics, such as the following:

  • Architecture: the role of Ethernet in a software-centric Automotive Environment
  • How to successfully implement Automotive Ethernet projects
  • Physical layer: Solutions from 10 Mbit/s up to Multi-Gig
  • Present and future physical layer solutions
  • AVB and TSN in practice: existing and new applications
  • Safety and security: critical applications with Ethernet
  • Test and measurement, tools
  • Electromagnetic compatibility: from cable to compliance testing
  • Use cases: new possibilities for Ethernet use
  • Necessary improvements for an optimized IP/Ethernet architecture

These are just a selection of possible topics for discussion, you're welcome to send us an abstract on other aspects in and around the automotive Ethernet topic. We're looking forward to receiving all your interesting proposals.

We're looking forward to all your interesting proposals in English.

The extended Deadline for Submission is November 18, 2022.
